I'm sad Annan is leaving. Though I do think it's time for an Asian SG, Ban's experience is only in the South Korean foreign ministry... is that really going to be enough for the head of the UN, especially with the North Korean nuclear situation? And we won't be seeing any more of the sunny Kofi-smile! Great sadness.
But, hey, if Ban enacts the promised reforms, and does it successfully, he'd probably go in my book of cool.
